Myths & Legends Privacy Policy

Last updated October 17, 2026

App: Myths & Legends of the World (formerly called Myth Keeper)
Developer: Happy Dead Designs LLC
Android package: com.happydead.mythology

Myths & Legends is a library of myths and legends from around the world, with paintings, short story videos and read-aloud. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: nothing is collected, and nothing leaves your phone.

Data collection

We do not collect, store on a server, sell or share any of your information.

• The app has no internet permission, so it cannot send anything anywhere. All stories, pictures and videos are inside the app.
• There is no account and no sign-in.
• There are no ads (ever), no analytics, no tracking and no third-party SDKs that collect data.

What stays on your phone

• Your favourites and settings are kept in the app's private storage.
• Only these two are included in your phone's own Android backup (and phone-to-phone transfer), so a new phone keeps them. That backup belongs to your Google account and phone settings, not to us; we can't see it. Cloud backup is only used when the phone can encrypt it end to end.
• Everything is removed when you uninstall the app (apart from your own phone backup).

Read-aloud

• Read-aloud uses the text-to-speech engine installed on your phone. The app gives that engine the story text to speak, and nothing else. The engine is part of your phone, from its own maker (for example Google or your phone's manufacturer), and is covered by that maker's terms.
• To keep reading with the screen off, the app runs a media playback service with a notification and lock-screen and headphone controls, and keeps the phone awake while it reads.

Contact from the app

The contact button opens your own email app with our address filled in. Nothing is sent unless you send the email yourself.

Purchases

Myths & Legends is a paid download (the price is set in Google Play). There are no in-app purchases and no subscription. Google Play handles the payment; we never see your card or payment details.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and it collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page with a new date.
